My name is Kanhika. I’m a design researcher and artist from Mumbai and California, currently spreading my creative roots in Wellington, New Zealand.
For my day job — by listening to the stories people tell and observing them in their everyday, I identify and help them solve their problems. I design digital experiences, services, and products by keeping the people we're design for at the centre of the process.
My night passion is my art and craft work. Through my artwork, I urge people to slow down and pay attention to the little things in their lives — especially since so much of contemporary life focuses on spectacle. I mainly work with ethnography, performance art, and videography as my medium. I have recently gotten back to making jewellery and working with ceramics.
This website is a curation of the different work I enjoy doing.
